Business and settings
Business profile
Section titled “Business profile”Each business has:
- Name and description - shown on public booking pages where the theme allows.
- Slug - short identifier in URLs. The public booking hub is at
/b/{slug}on your BUKMI installation (for examplehttps://example.com/b/my-salon). Each active service can also have its own URL:/b/{slug}/{service-slug}. - Timezone - used to interpret availability, booking times, and “how long until the visit” rules.
- Locale - influences date/time formatting for guests where the app applies business locale.
- Contact fields - such as phone, address, VAT, website; visibility depends on layout and plan.
The owner and users with permission to update the business can change these details from the business Show / Edit screens.
Booking behaviour (limits)
Section titled “Booking behaviour (limits)”In the app this tab is labeled Booking rules.
Businesses can configure rules such as:
- Minimum lead time - how far in advance a new booking must start (anti last-minute bookings).
- How far ahead guests can book (days) - limits how many calendar dates guests can browse on the public booking page and when picking a new date in self-service reschedule (1:1 services and the calendar / “soonest” flows). Today counts as day 1 of the window. Allowed range is 30–366 days; the default after setup is 90. The same window caps the drop-in group session list guests see on the service page. Staff Create booking in the panel is not limited by this setting - it keeps a longer horizon for reception and internal use.
- Guest reschedule window - how many hours before the start time a guest may self-reschedule using a link (only for pending or confirmed bookings, and not while an online payment is still unfinished).
- Unpaid checkout timeout (paid online & deposit) - until the guest completes Stripe Checkout, the booking may stay pending and hold the slot. After the configured time elapses, the system cancels the booking and releases the slot. The checkbox “Use platform default unpaid checkout timeout”: when enabled, the platform default applies. When disabled, you enter your own timeout in minutes (the UI enforces a safe range, e.g. from one minute up to several days). Applies to paid online as well as deposit flows.
Exact labels and fields appear in the business settings UI.
Integrations (per business)
Section titled “Integrations (per business)”The Integrations area groups:
- Payments (Stripe Connect) - when your plan includes it, connect a Stripe Express account so guests can pay online for services configured as Paid online. Charges and onboarding are handled with Stripe; BUKMI links your business to that account. Overview and requirements: Stripe integration (guest payments).
- Calendars - connect Google, Microsoft Outlook, or Apple iCloud so offered time slots can avoid busy periods (within your plan’s connection limits). Different team members may connect their own calendars depending on permissions.
- SMS - on plans that include SMS, buy prepaid packs, enable the master notification switch, and optionally save credits by avoiding national characters in message text. See SMS notifications.
- Video - on supported plans, optional video-meeting links for online-style services.
If a feature is not in your subscription plan, the UI will not offer that section or will explain the limitation.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Under Business settings → Notifications, configure email reminders and staff routing. If your plan includes SMS, the same area also exposes the global guest SMS switch and the optional no-national-characters setting that can reduce SMS pack usage. The concrete SMS message types are configured per service.
Branding and footer
Section titled “Branding and footer”On higher plans, you may replace default marketing links with your website and customise how the business appears on guest pages (for example logo). Exact options depend on the features included in your subscription plan.
When a business is removed
Section titled “When a business is removed”Soft-deleted businesses archive data in line with product behaviour; public slugs are changed so old /b/... links stop resolving to the live business. Operational detail is internal - ask your administrator if you need a data-retention overview.
