Teams and invitations

A team groups the people who take bookings for a single business. Team members can be performers on specific services, have their own availability schedules, and - based on role - see the appropriate slice of data.

The Teams feature is included on plans that list team seats in their pricing. On plans without it you work solo, and every booking is yours.

  1. Open a business from the dashboard.
  2. Pick Teams in the sidebar.

The URL looks like /businesses/{id}/teams.

  1. Click Create team.
  2. Enter a name (for example “Reception”, “Main salon”, “Mobile team”) and optionally a dedicated timezone - leave it blank to inherit the business timezone.
  3. Save.

A business can have multiple teams - useful for separate locations or shifts that are coordinated independently.

You add members by invitation:

  1. Open a team (via View / Edit).
  2. In the Members section pick Invite person.
  3. Enter an email address and a role (see below).
  4. Send. The invitee receives a link - clicking it accepts the invitation and adds the business to their dashboard.

If the invitee does not have a BUKMI account yet, they create one in the same step. Existing accounts just sign in and immediately see the business in their dashboard.

Invitations are capped by the team seats on your plan - if you run out, the app tells you. Change plan or free a seat by removing an inactive member.

RoleWhat they usually can do
OwnerFull control of the business: settings, teams, invitations, every booking, every report, billing.
ManagerManages the team’s bookings, invites and edits members, sees the business reports (on plans with reports). Does not touch billing.
MemberWorks with their own bookings; can have their own availability; reports are usually limited to themselves.

Exact limits depend on authorisation policies - if you cannot see something, it is most likely outside your role.

For a team member to appear when picking a performer (on the guest page and in Create booking in the panel), they must be a performer on that service:

  1. Open the service under Business → Services.
  2. In the Performers section, tick the people who can deliver it.
  3. Save.

Every performer has their own schedule in Availability - guests only see the hours when the selected person actually works.

If you have the right permissions, Availability shows a person selector at the top of the page - that is where you pick whose hours you edit. Details: Services, availability, and bookings.

In Bookings (list or schedule) an owner or manager can filter by person. A member normally sees only their own bookings - the filter is pinned to their account.

A manager or owner can remove someone from a team - when that happens:

  • the person loses access to the business (their BUKMI account still exists, just unlinked),
  • historical bookings stay in the system with the data captured at the time,
  • the seat is freed - you can invite someone else.
